CIIN holds 2013 Fitness Walk on Saturday

The 2013 Fitness Walk of the Chartered Institute of Insurance Nigeria (CIIN) takes place on Saturday May 11, in Lagos but also expected to take place at the institute's branches nationwide.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Institute Head, Corporate Affairs, Joseph Obah, who revealed that the walk has become an annual event with vast opportunities for insurance awareness hence it is also tagged the Insurance Industry road show.
According to the statement, “This year's edition will commence at the National Stadium, Surulere, to terminate at the Niger insurance premises along the busy Ikorodu Road. Not less than 2000 insurance practitioners are expected to participate in the walk wearing the colours of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. The participants are also expected to display the banners of their respective companies while also distributing handbills containing information on their companies and their offerings.”
Meanwhile, Director General of CIIN, Mr. Adegboyega Adepegba said it is an event no insurance company will like to miss, stating that it remains a veritable platform for reaching out to members of the insuring public in a most unique way.
Adepegba also said that the Fitness Walk provides ample opportunities for physical fitness, especially for executives who spend lot of time with business schedules.
The CIIN President, Dr. Wole Adetimehin, therefore called on insurance executives to participate in the walk, stating that it is always a worthwhile experience.
Adetimehin also said the walk cannot be ignored for whatever excuses except for unavoidable reasons.
The Institute however assured that attractive prizes await exceptional participants at the destination while the carnival like party offers immense attraction as usual.
